About us

A locally owned & operated oilfield and construction company.

In September of 1972, Randy began his business called Randy Gandy Pumping Service in Bledsoe, Texas. He was a contract pumper for various oil and gas companies. In August of 1978, Randy moved business and his family to Tatum, New Mexico.

Randy purchased his first well servicing rig in February of 1982. His wife, Joyce, began managing the office in Tatum and Randy continued contract pumping and overseeing the operations of the rig.

Randy quit contract pumping in 1993 after 21 years and many miles traveled on lease roads in the oil field. In 1995, Randy and Joyce ‘s son, Scotty, joined the company. His mechanical knowledge helped keep the rigs running. Scotty also helped with sales. The company purchased its first crane, an 18-ton Grove crane in 1995. That’s when their interest in crane and rigging was kindled and soon Randy’s passion for operating the crane began to grow.

The company incorporated in 1998 and changed its name to TWS, Inc. It had become necessary to move the company from Tatum to Lovington in order to find more employees. Randy and Scotty continued to grow the company by adding several well servicing rigs and hiring more employees. The office opened in Lovington in 2006. Scotty and Randy worked together to diversify the company. In the early 2000’s, they acquired equipment to make a rental fleet of forklifts, light towers and more. They purchased two more cranes and they started the fishing tool rental and reverse unit equipment divisions.

Because of the downturn in the economy, it became harder to find reliable well servicing employees. So, Randy and Scotty shut down the well service side of the company. In 2019, the opportunity presented itself to expand the crane and rigging division. They hired more NCCCO crane operators and riggers, while continuing the rental equipment, reverse units and fishing tool rental side of the business. Through growth, diversification and the willingness to change directions of the company, TWS, Inc. has managed to survive the ups and downs in the oilfield for almost 50 years.

Randy and Joyce continue to work in the company. Scotty is General Manager. In 2017 they welcomed their daughter-in-law, Rebecca, as bookkeeper and in 2018 their grandson, Tanner, with his young ideas on things. As you can see, we are a family owned and operated company that hopes to continue doing business for many years to come.
